In a tight contest between the Pittsburgh Kingfishers and the Toledo Stingers, Luis Rojas was the determining factor. The Pittsburgh left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. Cipriano Flores picked up the save, his 17th. At 46-50, the Kingfishers are currently 8th in the Silver League.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Kingfishers grabbed the lead when Carlos Rivera rapped a two-out single. Pittsburgh was trailing 1-0, when Rivera hit a 2-run single off Jason Kofod to put his team in front, 2-1.

"Luis is a cool customer," said Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson.
