Pitcher Lester Creed was sensational for the Pittsburgh Kingfishers in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Creed earned the win. Creed yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-7. Cipriano Flores earned the save, his 25th, for the Kingfishers.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for John McGrady? The Pittsburgh center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kingfishers on top, 2-1. For the game, McGrady had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
