Billy Goats Click Off Another Win, 4-1

Behind a fine performance from Jon Gore, the Colorado Billy Goats knocked off the Hollywood Shredders, 4-1. Gore went 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Billy Goats. Shawn Zimmerman, who leads the PL in wins with 4, was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 run on 7 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Picking up his 2nd save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Lou Bancroft.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Lou Bancroft didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Hollywood trailing 3-1, Bancroft retired Jason Cholmondoley to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Bancroft, with a wink.
Hollywood is now 6-15.
