Mockingbirds Deal Thunder 7-5 Setback
Toronto first baseman Ánibal Hernández had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Memphis at Magnolia Park. Hernández went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Ed Walters snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-3 on the season. Jami Jokinen suffered the loss. David Thornton recorded his 14th save for Memphis.

Kelvin Reynolds came through for Memphis with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 RBI.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Reynolds.

The victory puts Memphis at 39-60.
