The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Pittsburgh Grounds.

No one was more impactful than David White in the 8-3 Pittsburgh win over Las Vegas. White, who finished 2nd in the SL in stolen bases with 23 last year, threw 8.1 innings of 1-hit ball. White, now 10-5, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.

The Kingfishers got a big hit from left fielder Les Lumsden. Facing Las Vegas pitcher Larry Freeland in the bottom of the seventh, Lumsden pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 24th home run of the season put the Kingfishers ahead, 7-0.

"Solid performance from our side," said Kingfishers manager Tyler Johnson.

With the win, Pittsburgh raised its record to 55-44.
