Echo Park starter Barry Davis pitched well against the Memphis Mockingbirds at LA Forum. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Reliever Brendan Fulton picked up the win. His record improves to 2-6. Marvin Velásquez took the loss. At 56-44, the Lakers are currently third in the Silver League.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Echo Park catcher Arthur Cantrell, facing Marvin Velásquez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Lakers the 3-2 win.

Davis told a Echo Park Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
