The Echo Park Lakers defeated the Long Island Lighthouse, 5-2, in United States Silver League action at LA Forum. Echo Park pitcher Phil Murphy had a standout performance. Francisco Aguilar got credit for the save for Echo Park. It was his 13th of the year. The Lakers now own a record of 51-49.
Danny Carey helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Lakers.
Carey called the win "a collective effort."
