Pittsburgh Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Philadelphia Liberty and Pittsburgh Kingfishers.

The Pittsburgh Kingfishers defeated the Philadelphia Liberty, 5-3, in part because of second baseman Reynaldo Díaz. Díaz was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Kingfishers. The Kingfishers move to 56-45 with the win, while the Liberty drop to 58-43.

With the game tied in the bottom of the fifth inning, Díaz had a clutch at-bat. That's when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Kingfishers a 4-3 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Díaz said.
