2060 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Memphis Mockingbirds.

The Buckhead Bowties had to overcome a big game from Memphis second baseman Butch Collins to leave Magnolia Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-5. Collins was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The victory makes Buckhead 33-68.

Buckhead used a timely hit from Max Pegrum to get the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bowties ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Nice to get this one," said Pegrum. "Wins have been hard to come by."
