Chris Veeck batted in 3 runs to lead New Orleans to a win over Hollywood. The final score was 8-2. Veeck chipped in 2 singles and 1 home run. The victory makes New Orleans 11-10.

New Orleans got a big at-bat from San Juan, Puerto Rico native Jorge Valdés, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Voodoo ahead, 6-2.

"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager TJ Reynolds.
