Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Vancouver Grey Wolves and Detroit Elite.
The Vancouver Grey Wolves beat the Detroit Elite, 6-3, at Detroit Stadium. Robin Merlet, who is tied for 10th in the SL in hits with 113, starred for Vancouver. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Vancouver now owns a record of 51-51.
Steef Advocaat's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant, coming with a runner on 2nd and the game tied, 3-3. The Vancouver left fielder hit a run-scoring single off Qu-bing Li to put the Grey Wolves up.
"Enjoyed this one," Advocaat told the Vancouver Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
