Piranhas Fall Short, 5-4, at Ft. Worth

Getting offensive support from Juan Sánchez, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen topped the Panama City Piranhas, 5-4. Sánchez went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Cattlemen. John Allen got the save, his 17th in 20 chances. Ft. Worth now has a record of 53-50 with the win.
Sánchez had a timely hit for Ft. Worth in the bottom of the sixth. With Ft. Worth trailing 4-1, he turned a 0-1 cutter into a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Ft. Worth.
"We did enough to win," said Sánchez.
