Blue Demons Sunk by Lighthouse
The Long Island Lighthouse topped the Mexico City Blue Demons, 10-1, in United States Silver League action at The Lighthouse. The standout performance belonged to Long Island pitcher and Pocahontas, Arkansas, native Ken Harding. Harding, who leads the SL in complete games with 3, went the distance for Long Island. He gave up 1 run on 10 hits. With the victory, the Lighthouse upped their record to 59-44.

Long Island designated hitter Ostoja Popovic contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 124th hit of the season and put the Lighthouse ahead, 2-0.

"I thought Ken threw the ball well across the board," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito.
