Pandas Come Up Short at Ft. Worth, 3-2
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen called upon starter Seung-gwan Kim, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Montana Pandas, 3-2. Joe Jenkins got the save, his 13th in 16 chances. Ft. Worth now owns a record of 48-56.
The Cattlemen got a big at-bat from center fielder Lee Spencer. For the game, Spencer went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Ft. Worth a 3-2 lead.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Spencer.
