The Greenville 84s converted a terrific effort from starter Thaddeus Alambra into a win over the St. Louis Coeur at 84s Field. The 84s won the game by a final score of 4-0. The 8th-place Coeur have dropped 4 straight games.

Greenville left fielder Israel Cruz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a cutter to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 75th hit of the season and put the 84s ahead, 2-0.

"I was able to fill up the zone," said Alambra.
