Toronto Makes Baltimore 5-2 Losers
|
The Toronto Thunder racked up a win at Baltimore Grounds, bumping off the Baltimore Bullets, 5-2. Tai sun Rang, who started for Toronto, pitched effectively for his team. Rang picked up the win for Toronto, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Ron Murphy closed the door for Toronto, picking up his 5th save of the year.
Toronto won the game in part because of Justin Allen. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Thunder ahead, 3-0. For the game, Allen had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Rang told the Toronto Today.
At 13-9, the Thunder are currently second in the Premier League.
