Pandas Lose to Cattlemen in Walk-Off
Montana got a big-time effort from pitcher Pablo Moreno, but it wasn't enough to keep the Ft. Worth Cattlemen from winning the game, 5-4. Moreno threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The winner in relief was Jack Hammer. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 5-6. Ft. Worth is now 51-54, while Montana is 52-53.

The Cattlemen were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 23-year old second baseman Stanford Logan landed a big blow. He turned a 1-2 slider from Martin Luther into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the The Cattle Pen denizens into a frenzy and sent the Cattlemen home with a thrilling 5-4 win.
