The Mexico City Blue Demons beat the Long Island Lighthouse, 7-5, at The Lighthouse. Joe Raymond, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. John McGrath, the winner, is now 3-10. He struck out 4 and walked 4 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. Leonard Dennis picked up his 29th save of the season.

Shintaro Hagi had a big run-scoring triple for the Blue Demons in the top of the fifth inning. With Mexico City leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Steve Romero and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Demons ahead, 3-1.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Raymond.

The 8th-place Blue Demons lifted their record to 50-55.
