Lakers Win at Montana, 7-2
|
At Panda Park, the Montana Pandas and Echo Park Lakers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Echo Park Lakers locked up a win at Panda Park, knocking off the Montana Pandas, 7-2. On the mound for Echo Park was right-hander Bernardo Cruz. He played a major role in the triumph. With the victory, the Lakers upped their record to 55-51.
The Lakers got a big at-bat from shortstop Palmer Kent. For the game, Kent was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Echo Park a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Kent. "And not try to do too much."
