Ortega Swings Liberty to 10-4 Win
The Philadelphia Liberty licked the Colorado Billy Goats, 10-4. Oliver Ortega deserved a big chunk of the credit. The right fielder went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Liberty. Philadelphia raised its record to 55-51 with the win.

Ortega contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Philadelphia in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Ortega took a fastball from Mark McConnell and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Liberty to leap in front, 2-1.
