Grey Wolves Rally to Nose Past Pittsburgh
The Vancouver Grey Wolves did just enough to sneak past the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 4-3, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Vancouver pitcher Jeff Benson, in particular, had a standout performance. Ray Stevenson snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 2.1 innings. He's now 6-2 on the season. With the victory, the Grey Wolves record stands at 55-53.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Vancouver trailing 3-1, Iván Garza delivered the decisive blow, stroking a fastball from Brad Pratly for a 3-run home run. Ballgame.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Garza. "You've got to get results."
