The Buckhead Bowties picked up a win at Grazing Hills, taking down the Colorado Billy Goats, 5-3. Starting pitcher Uhi Ahipene was a big reason why. Buckhead reliever Walt Gould picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Edwards was saddled with the loss. Armando Trujillo recorded the save for Buckhead, his 1st of the season.

Buckhead used the clutch hitting of Román Merced to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bowties ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"I liked his command," said Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister. "Uhi was throwing strikes."

The win gives Buckhead a record of 2-2.
