Mitsuo Suzuki impressed in the 7-6 Kingston win over Thunder Bay. Suzuki, who led the 3L in slugging percentage with .598 last year, went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Hui Loh came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Thunder Bay drops to 2-2.

Kingston took a 7-6 lead on Clifton Roberson's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Roberson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Thunder Bay pitcher Francisco Colón visibly frustrated.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Roberson told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
