Bullets Suffer One-Run Loss at Charleston

The Charleston Battery scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Baltimore Bullets at Charleston Armory. Charleston pitcher Pham Phung held his own in the contest. Juan Carlos Mejía sewed up the save, his 2nd. With the win, Charleston goes to 3-2.
Making an impact for the home team was José Torres. In the bottom of the sixth, the 25-year old center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-1, Battery.
"I felt good up there," said Torres. "I saw the ball well."
