Cattlemen Rebuff Grey Wolves, 4-2
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen converted a terrific effort from starter Chase Davis into a win over the Vancouver Grey Wolves at The Cattle Pen. The Cattlemen won the game by a final score of 4-2. Davis yielded 2 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-1. Terry Lesage picked up the save for Ft. Worth, his 9th of the year.
Making an impact for Ft. Worth was right fielder Juan Raspaldo. He drilled a double off Juan Rayo in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Raspaldo went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson praised his team's "businesslike approach."
The Cattlemen now have a record of 14-9.
