Dirty Reds Earn Late Win
The Dayton Dirty Reds had to overcome a good performance from Nova Scotia pitcher Dan Cortés to claim a 3-2 win at Lang Park. Cortés went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. The win gives Dayton a record of 3-3.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 2-2, 25-year old left fielder Germán García won it for Dayton. With runners on 1st and 2nd, García hit a 2-1 fastball from Anastasio Orozco for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," García told the Dayton News. "But we take nothing for granted."
