Vargo Finds Groove in 7-1 St. Louis Triumph
The Cape Coral Hurricanes had to reckon with St. Louis Coeur hurler Miguel Angel Vargo. Vargo, who finished 2nd in the 3L in strikeouts with 184 last year, overwhelmed the opposition in the 7-1 Coeur triumph. The Coeur, now 5-1, have stormed out of the gates.

Vargo, the St. Louis left-hander, went 9 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. He collected 10 strikeouts.

Vargo attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
