The Baltimore Bullets weathered a fine game by Cape Coral first baseman Brian Byrd to upend the Hurricanes, 9-6, at Baltimore Grounds. Byrd went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Baltimore has a mark of 4-4 after the win.

Baltimore took the lead, 9-6, on Carlos Gracía's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Cape Coral pitcher Erich Alfaro in the bottom of the eighth.
