St. Louis Offense Jammed Up by Dirty Reds
The Dayton Dirty Reds went home winners at Lang Park, thanks in large part to starter Jim Hunter. Hunter stifled the St. Louis Coeur, enabling Dayton to grab the 4-1 win. Stanley Thompson was credited with the save for Dayton, his 3rd of the season. Dayton now has a record of 4-4.

In the bottom of the sixth, Dayton first baseman José Cuebas gave his team the lead. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hulk hit his 3rd home run of the year. St. Louis pitcher Dan Hewitt surrendered it. With that, the Dirty Reds jumped in front, 3-1.

"Nice win for us," said Cuebas. "Now we'll go after the next one."
