The Buckhead Bowties knocked off the Charleston Battery, 9-6, at 5 Paces Park. Francisco Guerrero hit 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 2 runs. Rory May was credited with the save for Buckhead, his 2nd of the season. The loss drops the Battery to 6-3.

The Bowties got a big hit from left fielder Mark Ackerman. In the bottom of the eighth, Ackerman smacked a 2-run double off Charleston pitcher Lawrence Tate. It was his 2nd double of the season. Suddenly, the Bowties were ahead, 6-5.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Ackerman.
