Kingston shortstop Joe Wilson picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 4-3. John Black picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Hakizimana Kipkorir suffered the loss. Fred Hull picked up the save for Kingston, his 2nd of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Kingston, had it not been for Clifton Roberson, the 33-year old right fielder . Roberson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Kingston up, 1-0.
"We'll build on this win," said Wilson.
Thunder Bay is 6-3 after the defeat.
