Yarbrough, Hurricanes Too Much for Dirty Reds
A good performance from right fielder Matt Yarbrough helped the Cape Coral Hurricanes defeat the Dayton Dirty Reds, 9-8. Yarbrough went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Hurricanes. Lawrence Higgins, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 3. Dayton is now 7-5.

With Cape Coral leading 5-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Yarbrough hit a curveball from Juan Rodríguez for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Hurricanes ahead, 9-4.

"Both teams had plenty of clutch hits," said Yarbrough. "It made for an exciting game."
