|
Steef Advocaat powered the Vancouver Grey Wolves to a win over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. The final score was 5-2. The Vancouver left fielder, who is tied for 7th in the 3L in home runs with 3, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Juan Hernández earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. Brad Carter notched his 4th save of the season.
Advocaat made an early impact for Vancouver when he stroked his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Grey Wolves on top, 5-1.
