Gonzáles, Battery Too Much for Oaks
Johnny Gonzáles knocked in 3 runs to help Charleston beat Oakland, 7-3. The Boise, Idaho native tallied 2 singles and 1 home run. The Oaks drop to 7-7 and continue their mediocre start to the 2061 season.

With Charleston leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Gonzáles came up to bat against Oakland pitcher Scott Bishop. Gonzáles hit a fastball to center for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Battery on top, 4-0.

Charleston manager Matt Hunt was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
