Nova Scotia beat Buckhead at The Dungeon in Halifax, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Efren Cereza. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The defeat makes the Bowties 5-9.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Nova Scotia trailing 3-2, Cereza jumped on a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Forest Strickland and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Leviathan had a walk-off win.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Cereza said in his postgame press conference.
