The Vancouver Grey Wolves and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Vancouver Grey Wolves got a sterling performance from pitcher Pat Butler, but the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC still prevailed, 4-3. Butler threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The winning pitcher was Hakizimana Kipkorir. He's now 3-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Northern Lions BC. Steve Hale earned the save, his 1st, for the Northern Lions BC.

Thunder Bay used the clutch hitting of Esteban Mancíto to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Northern Lions BC the lead, 4-3. For the game, Mancíto had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

After the game, Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

With the loss, Vancouver drops to 9-5.
