The Santa Catalina Condor went home winners at Condor Nest, thanks in large part to starter Jesús Ramírez. Ramírez stifled the Las Vegas Flamingos, enabling Santa Catalina to grab the 5-1 win. The Flamingos fall to 6-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Early in the game, catcher António Andrés had a 2-run double for Santa Catalina. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Condor on top, 2-0.

"They played a better game than we did," said Las Vegas skipper Tom Williams.
