Rocketeers Spank Blue Demons, 12-2

The Seattle Rocketeers had no problem beating the Mexico City Blue Demons, 12-2, at Boeing Dome. Jorge Beguer led the way. He went 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Seattle. Manuel Bernal was the winner. He's now 2-2. The loser was 15-year veteran Jeff McFarland. Seattle is now 12-12, Mexico City 12-12.
Seattle took the lead in the bottom of the first on a big hit from Preston Wilson. On a 1-2 fastball from Jeff McFarland, Wilson hit a 2-run single. That made it 3-1, Rocketeers. For the day, Wilson was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager JJ Hoban.
