The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC knocked off the D.C. Divided, 6-4, in Menard's Third League action at Washington Stadium. Thunder Bay pitcher and Chehalis, Washington, native Bennett Dodd had an outstanding performance. Early on, the Northern Lions BC, at 12-4, have piled up the wins.

In the top of the second, Thunder Bay catcher Pancho Valdéz had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Valdéz stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-0, Thunder Bay. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
