The Buckhead Bowties defeated the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 8-6, at 5 Paces Park. Buckhead shortstop Harry Kofmeister had a superb performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner in relief was Joe Proctor. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. The loss lowers the Nova Scotia record to 5-12.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Kofmeister hit a fastball from Huibert Illidge for a 2-run home run. The Bowties, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Kofmeister.
