The D.C. Divided took Thunder Bay pitcher Hakizimana Kipkorir's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Washington Stadium. The final score had D.C. getting past the Northern Lions BC, 4-2. Kipkorir went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. Losses have been rare for the Northern Lions BC, who are now 12-5.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Ben Hardy, who is tied for 10th in the 3L with a .355 batting average, hit a single. The Divided went on to win.

"Nice win for us," said Hardy. "Now we'll go after the next one."
