The Dayton Dirty Reds handed the Nova Scotia Leviathan a loss at Lang Park. The final score was 6-4. Pete Black was one of the major contributors for Dayton. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 1. The Leviathan fall to 7-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2058 season.

Étienne Duchesne's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Dayton. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Dayton trailing 2-1, the first baseman reached on an error by the C, driving in 1 run.
