The Kingston Ponies beat the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 11-5, at The Dungeon in Halifax. The Ponies got a fine performance from second baseman Phil Brooks, who slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kingston is now 10-8.

Kingston grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Howard Brown delivered a 2-run single, to make it 5-3, in favor of the Ponies.

Brooks told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
