Smithley K's 10 En Route to 3-1 Hurricanes Win
|
Bob Smithley was superb against Buckhead. The left-hander, the 14th overall pick in the 2056 draft, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Hurricanes victory. The score was 3-1. Pablo Jiménez earned the save, his 2nd, for the Hurricanes. Buckhead falls to 8-10.
Smithley earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Cape Coral. The left-hander allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 10. Buckhead hitters had little success against him.
"Bob was a handful," said Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister.
