In a low-scoring affair between the Boston Patriots and the Buffalo White Walkers, pitcher Tai sun Rang was the difference between victory and defeat. The Boston left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-0 Patriots win. The first-place Patriots improved to 15-9.

Making an impact for the home team was Tyrone Higgins. In the bottom of the fourth, the former first round draft pick had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Patriots.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Rang told the Boston Observer. "Whatever it takes."
