Brian Hill, who led the 3L in ERA with 2.22 in 2056, was in top form in a tight contest between Toronto and Charleston. The Thunder right-hander helped his team beat the Battery, 2-1. The winner was Toronto reliever Seung Kim, now 2-0. The loser was Wesley Perkins. Charleston falls to 9-10.

Toronto got a game-changing hit from Gregory Hartman. The designated hitter blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Hartman.
