The Charleston Battery weathered a fine game by Vancouver center fielder Peter Young to upend the Grey Wolves, 6-5, at Charleston Armory. Young went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. With the win, Charleston elevates its record to 12-7.

George Dailey had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Battery. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Charleston trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Charleston manager Matt Hunt.
