Ponies Pull Out Late Win, 2-1

Cape Coral wasted a solid 6.1-inning effort from starting pitcher Harry Marshall, losing to Kingston, 2-1, at Factory of Sadness. Kingston reliever Jack Jones picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jorge Ortíz absorbed the loss. Kingston has a record of 8-11.
Runs were hard to come by in this one. Júlio Gil's at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth, therefore, was critical. The Kingston catcher hit a sacrifice fly, to put his team on top, 2-1.
"I was a little disappointed," said Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
