Flamingos Fall to Voodoo Late

The New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-1, at The Strip. New Orleans was led by 26-year old third baseman Fernando Mezzatesta, who went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Tetsu Gato, who finished 4th in the PL in saves with 27 in 2058, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Kun Ec. Las Vegas now has a record of 1-2.
New Orleans needed the clutch hitting of Shu-yaan Hor to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 2-1. For the game, Hor had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Mezzatesta attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
