Buckhead Bowties starter Uhi Ahipene found his groove in his team's 3-2 win over the Kingston Ponies. Buckhead reliever Joe Proctor got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Walt Gregory was tagged with the loss. At 11-11, Buckhead is in 7th place in the Third League.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Buckhead shortstop Harry Kofmeister, facing Walt Gregory, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Bowties the 3-2 win.

"That game was intense," Ahipene said.
