Divided Get Past Buckhead for 7-6 Win

With pinch hitter Claudio Martínez leading the charge, the D.C. Divided defeated the Buckhead Bowties, 7-6, at 5 Paces Park. Martínez, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2059 draft, was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. D.C. reliever Bill Ramírez snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rory May shouldered the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Carlton Taylor.
Martínez had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Rory May, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Divided a 7-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Martínez.
"There's so many different ways you can win a game," said winning manager Jonathan Gerth.
D.C. has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
