Bob Smithley, who is tied for 2nd in the 3L with a 9.7 K/9 rate, propelled his team to victory over the Mexico City Blue Demons. The final score was 11-4, Cape Coral. Logan Bowen picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Tom Johnston, who finished 3rd in the 3L in wins with 12 in 2057, was tagged with the loss. The Hurricanes saw their record improve to 10-13.

Alex Thomas was 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Cape Coral. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off George Atwater. It was his 6th walk of the season.
