Bowties Defeat Hurricanes, 6-5
|
The Buckhead Bowties trumped the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 6-5, at Factory of Sadness. Buckhead third baseman Martino Madlad was terrific. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Buckhead pitcher Ed House got the win. He's now 2-2. Mark Smith was tagged with the loss. The losses continue to add up for Cape Coral, having now dropped 8 straight.
Buckhead needed the clutch hitting of Bikila Ayinde to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Bowties on top, 6-5. For the game, Ayinde had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Greg Diersing.
